Low Cost Flights A Tourist Boon Across Much Of Europe
Malta has experienced an uncommon boon this year in their tourist trade. It appears that their popularity is on the rise as a popular affordable destination for more travelers on holiday. And much of this success can be attributed to the increase in affordable flights to and from the exotic destination.
Airlines especially lowcost airlines are accustomed to record sales during the peak travel months of summer but not so much in the winter months. Malta’s home based airlines are reporting a record breaking winter season this year with more than 500000 passengers originating from their home base of Malta’s Luqa Airport. The winter months November 2007 through March 2008 showed a remarkable 15 percent increase over the 2006 winter season.
Malta’s charter air traffic is on the increase as well and is reporting a 21 percent increase over last year’s figures. And it’s not just the Maltese who are prospering: the market reported the largest increase as being Italy with 41 percent. Germany came in a close second at 32 percent with France at 25 percent and the U.K. by 6 percent.
Airline executives are reporting doubledigit growth every month during the winter season. The question arises as to why this has happened. This success can be attributed to several factors:
* Existing codeshare agreements between a network of airlines a network allow travelers daily access via European hubs. In its entirety the network of airlines offers access to more than 180 destinations worldwide.
* Airline ticket sales via the Internet are credited as well with sales increases during the winter months.
* Many of these have added additional destinations to their list of available destinations.
* In addition to the introduction of new available destinations airlines are increasing capacity and the frequency of flights to other major European hubs.
Times are difficult around the globe these days; both financially and politically. Now more than ever people want a break from it all in a place they can afford to visit while feeling secure in their person visiting. Many Europeans are choosing to look closer to home for their travel destinations for both of these reasons. Malta and many other near island resort sports are becoming more popular than ever.
The success of lowcost airlines proves that current currency exchange rates have not had the negative impact on international travel that was anticipated. Passengers are simply being more mindful of prices that fit their travel plans and budgets. In fact business for most of the lowcost airlines that make frequent flights to and from Malta as well as the Balearic and Canary Islands has seen a dramatic increase. This increase is expected to rise even more; at least for the short while.
Airlines have already promised more frequent flights to and from favorite travel destinations for the 2008 summer travel season. Increased flights at reduced prices and the availability of packaged travel deals are sure to be big hits with tourists this year. It would appear that major global excursions are out and neatlypackaged convenient and affordable holiday hotspots are the flavor of 2008.

Local Airports Reduce Holiday Getaway Stress
Planes carrying 700 passngers and cruise ships with thousands of people on board have been introduced into the world of travel in recent years but for many people it’s small that is beautiful not big.
Local airports are perhaps the greatest method of travel left for those desiring peace and a more efficient solution for their travel needs rather than having to travel to a major international one with the parking and security stress that often comes with the territory.
Many people think of major airports and cringe at the thoughts of lines requiring hours to get through thousands of people going in different directions at once constant worries of baggage and claim issues and confusing parking policies. Yet there is one way to fly that completely removes all these worries at the same time the local airport airport.
These smaller facilities are typically just as reliable as the major airports but with many advantages. The fares are often more affordable and the queues are far shorter. Because these airlines serve fewer passengers you will reach your destination faster and with less hassle. You are also less likely to be held for long periods of time for taking food onboard with you. Since smaller planes are used more flights are safely allowed and you are less likely to be marooned due to the common problems aboard large airlines.
The ease of parking in regional airports is another convenience many passengers enjoy. The lots are smaller and more organized and it isn’t common to literally lose your vehicle amid hundreds or thousands of others. Even large regional airports offer a better experience when it comes to automobile storage.
Regional airports offer services that will take you into large cities but also offer options of bypassing more urban areas when the final destination is on the outskirts of a major metropolitan area. These airports use smaller planes allowing greater access to additional facilities regardless of where you travel. Many locations are limited to regional airports and if you choose a major airline you will need to either board a second smaller airplane to reach your destination or drive a considerable distance.
Regional airports today are as connected as major airlines through technology. Weather security information and all other relevant details are available through regional airports just as with major airlines.
For a fine example of the regional possibilities for travelers take the beautiful island of Tenerife. This is one of the Canary Islands and offers lush tropical beauty for all visitors. The Los Rodeos Airport or Tenerife North Airport is a wonderful example of how these smaller facilities can take you to new and exotic locations.
The Tenerife North Airport is one of two on the island of Tenerife and will take you safely and expediently to your destination. Tenerife is a paradise of the Canary Islands and is often referred to as ‘Paradise Island.’
Cesar Manrique a renowned artist designed a series of seawater pools for everyone to enjoy. Manrique designed his architecture around the natural vegetation of the island and created a magnificent living work of art. Tenerife also offers botanical gardens and a gorgeous view of Teide Volcano.
Using a local airport does not mean you are missing out on any destination it only means you are expanding the potential of your travels to reach far more exotic locations in the world.

Learn To Bargain With Airport Parking Fees
You will find two types of people in this world: The first type drives up to airport in style turn up before the ticket machine and cough up the parking price at a turnup rate. There is another group of people who bothers to do their home work and pre book airport parking and this is this latter group of people that gain monetarily. How? Simply because the turnup parking fees are almost 30 higher than the pre booking fees in almost all leading airports in the world.
So pre booking of airport gives you a definite financial edge over the others and help you to save on your total travel expenses. But you can reduce your expenses in the area of parking even more and that is by learning the tricks how to bargain effectively to grab the best deal. Here are some of the bargaining secrets that will help you to seal the best deal in airport parking at any corner of the world.
Why not take the help of web? You have already made good researches on the internet to find out discount hotels cheap flights budget car rentals and what not! Then apply your searching skill to find out the best airport parking rate too. There are a number of websites that will pop up before your eyes to flood you with the price charts and online comparison tools. So shop around to find out the best possible quote.
If you want to get better result from the researches you can take help of the aggregator a web company that will save your efforts on making researches on the airport parking rates. They will give you result on the basis of their price comparison of different car parks but without any bias towards a particular car park.
But taking aggregator’s help has one limitation and that relates to the fact that aggregators will not provide you the rates of all the car park companies operating in a particular airport. They will offer you the rates of those companies which they have agreement with.
To overcome this limitation stage a simultaneous search on the internet to compare the quotes of multiple companies at a time. You can also approach the parking companies in an airport directly; most of them have their own websites and will offer you a competitive rate for pre booking.
However the best part of the bargaining is to get what you pay for plus seizing extra something that you do not pay for. This happens when you bargain for the space in VIP lounge. Just think of the luxury of relaxing in the VIP lounge in the middle of waiting for the connecting flight! So try to grab such extras as VIP lounge pass a service of a chauffer or facility of parking under cover and so on. Believe me; in most of the airports a pre booking rate along with these extra will cost lot less than the fees at a turn up rate.
